Mark Berrios-Ayala
Being a first-generation college graduate, Mark graduated from Florida International University College of Law in the spring of 2017. During law school, Mark was awarded the pro bono medallion for over 200 pro bono hours completed while in law school. Mark obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2014: graduating honors in the major.
Mark obtained his Associate of Arts degree from Valencia College in 2011.
Mark has extensive insurance defense experience having previously worked as in-house counsel for an national auto insurance company and a Florida homeowner’s insurance company defending hurricane related property damage claims. While in law school, Mark was also a legal intern to the Honorable Migna Sanchez-Llorens of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Miami.
Mark is very involved in the professional community. He is the author of many articles
on trending topics in the Puerto Rican community, and is the Vice President of Communications
for PROFESA, a community organization of Puerto Rican professionals. Mark also serves on
the Board of Directors for the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyer’s Association and has
spent time lobbying in Tallahassee on behalf of the Association. Mark is the Regional Vice
President of District Three of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida and a fellow of the
Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy Fellow Program.
